PART I: OILS, CREAMS & BALMS
Learn how to process herbs into medicinal oils, creams, and balms. We’ll start with a plant walk to get to know some common medicinal garden herbs, weeds and native plants. You’ll gain familiarity with some basic concepts in plant identification and learn a variety of herbal applications for health and wellness.
Together, we’ll make:
-an herbal oil infusion of your choice
-a medicated lip balm
-a moisturizing herbal body cream
-a deeply nourishing and skin protective face cream
add $15 to class tuition to take home a sample of each
We’ll explore wider applications of these herbal preparations, including:
-how to make medicated creams for specific conditions like injuries, pain, or eczema
-how to extract CBDs and THC for medicated oils, creams & balms
-how to process fresh and dried herbs into herbal oils
-how to pick the right oil for different uses and applications
-preservation and longevity of products
You’ll leave class with the recipes and the know-how to confidently make medicinal oils, creams and balms of your own at home.
